[ale] Please help: BellSouth ADSL hangs with sendmail andup2date

I don't have a solution to offer you, but as an alternative to up2date
you could use apt-get. I've been using it on RH 7.3 and it works
great. Since the entire protocol is http, and http seems to work for
you apt-get should work, too.
