When I got my DSL Line (over two years ago, the only provider that would
offer it to me was Bellsouth.
I was on their waiting list for 4 months, with a free dialup connection,
before someone called and asked how I liked my dsl line. I told them I would
love it it I had it, they said oh? You don't have it yet? I said no. The
scheduled someone to come out (We had an alarm system on the house) and I
had DSL with in a week.
I ended up with four months of free service because of it.
I like bellsouth's dsl. I have a linux box set up with rp on it to handle my
pppoe connection and I have a script to update my ip address with my name
server when it changes. I haven't had any problems with PPPoE or DHCP.

I have been using telocity (now directtv) dsl for about 2+ years. I have
had NO problems with it. I have also turned 2 friends on to it, and they
have both had good experiences with it.
