[ale] HELP!!! /HDA DISASTER!

I have 2 hard disks, ones an ATA100 40 gig 72000 rpm
the other 8 gig 52000 regular. for some reason when i
used toms root boot to fdisk the hda remove all
partitions to reinstall linux and windows it now can
not be seen under windows! toms rb can see it having
1027 cylinders. bios registers that too cause its in
lba mode and thats normal but toms gives a warning
which i didnt notice in time that the hda is in 1027
mode and could cause problems with dos fdisk . ... i
dont understand what should i do? i tried a windoze
boot disk toms rb (linux) and also the windoze install
disk... linux sees it fine windoze which i need back
does not, ?? any suggestions?
