try Socks4/5 Ad Blocker
http://freshmeat.net/projects/sab
or
webwasher
http://www.webwasher.com
I haven't used nor do I condone the use thereof either of these two
products but both claim to kill the popups. Good luck and godspeed...

I use Mozilla in linux and I added this to the prefs.js file
user_pref("capability.policy.default.Window.open", "noAccess");
Thanks
Ken

It appears to me that sites like Ebay have realized that people have
become immune to banners now. Only pop-ups will do. I've notice
sometimes when I'm doing nothing on my PC that a web page will pop-up
out from no where. I know Kazaa does this. Maybe real audio too.

But I don't want to go among mad people,

Oh, you can't help that, said the Cat:
we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.
How do you know I'm mad? said Alice.
You must be, said the Cat,
or you wouldn't have come here.
