9600 is the default speed. but it is too slow for frequent use. Try higher
baud speed if you tends to use serial console frequently.
The highest speed I can get is 51200 w/ a serial cable and a null modem.
w/ a crossed serial cable the highest I can get is 19200.

#Subject: [ale] serial console
#
#
#I would like to use the linux serial console for one of my boxes. What
#I'd like to do is have that serial connected to the serial of my primary
#box so that I could pull up an xterm on that box with the console output
#of the previous box. Does that make sense?
#
#Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had ever done this? I know you
#normally need a null modem cable for serial console, but I'm thinking
#that since I'm going to another serial port, that won't be necessary, or
#would it??
#
#Anyone see why this is NOT feasible?
