[ale] OT: Quality of current WD HDs?

I've heard the horror stories too, but I've got a 10 gig and 4 gig WD 
drives still running, never had a problem with either and those were 
both purchased when they were pretty much the bleeding edge, so, YMMV.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
