        Seriously, you might want to check out rrdtool (which is the
replacement database/graphing tool for the next version of mrtg) and
roll your own framework around it (which is pretty easy to do).  Or
look into ntop, which is good for live statistics (but it doesn't
keep detailed historical records that I've found; then again you can
use it to gather data which you stick into an rrdtool database).
