I received this request in response to the Installfest planned for
March 9th. Has anyone done this? What do we need to have available to
get this done? Someone please let me know asap and I will see if I
can dig up the software needed and I will reply to Rick also. His
message is below.
Hi, My name is Rick. I work for a IBM secondary market computer
dealer. It's been decided that I need to figure out how to get Linux
on a RS-6000 and learn how to use it. The primary goal would be to
use the rs-6000 as a test bed with which we can access and configure
different raid devices we commonly recieve. I was considering rolling
the box in at installfest. Can you say if there will be an open
source version of linux that will handle a rs-6000 or will I need to
bring cash for some type of enterprise package? Also, should I bring
a Raid system in like the one I would typically be using?
Thanks
Harold
And DON'T forget the installfest is March 9.2002. Tell as many people
as you can. The installfest site is http://installfest.teknoids.net
