[ale] need some input on tv capture cards

I can do the same without a vga ntsc converter.  So I'm still wondering 
what the purpose of it is.

Tell me where I'm going wrong.  cable is connected to the tuner card. 
 From there I can use something like streamer to do capture that has 
nothing at all to do with vga.  I can do this on a headless system.  As 
a matter of fact, I've got a headless system connected to a camera that 
monitors my driveway.  I could easily fire up streamer there and save 
the content to the drive.
