from what i understand, the only advantage an H1B visa person has is
that they are not an illegal alien. Theres the renewal proccess (Pain in
the A$$, the constant worry of a change in policy that would send the
person and their family home with nothing but a swift kick in the rear,
and the wonderfull pleasure of paying all the taxes everyone else does
with very little chance of ever getting the benfits of the payroll
premiums.
I personaly dont believe we should send all the H1B Visa holders
packing. Some people i consider friends, and respect as professionals
are H1B visa holders. They have to maintain employment and as such are
paying taxes. But, considering the current economy, we should limit NEW
H1B visa's, Especialy from countries known to harbor or support
terrorists. At least until the economy picks back up, unemployment drops
back down and the Terrorist threat has died back down to a reasonable
level.
