Don't bother; safely assume it's a scam.  The 55th IETF conference WAS
in Atlanta, but on Nov 17-22.  So, if this were all true, he'd have been
knocking around Atlanta for nearly three weeks before finally deciding
that his best chance to get home is to e-mail mailing list operators.
