Dude! Your beating a nearly dead horse here. Buy a 40G hard drive, copy
over /usr/local/games to it, set /etc/fstab to mount it and get on with
life.!!

If you really want a fascinating experience, use vmware to install a new
linux onto, merge your existing stuff onto the new disk, then reboot to
the new disk, set your old disk to be /trunk.
