[ale] Exchange Server alternatives

This subject has always perplexed me, although I have never looked hard
into fixing it myself.  OS software has replaced everything other useful
item that I can think of.  Why not group calendar and contacts?

Maybe we can talk someone at gatech.edu into taking this on as an OS
project down there?  Or Southern Poly, or KSU?

If you have money to spend, have you looked at IBM/Lotus Notes? I think
they do have support for Linux.
