[ale] How to get a PCMCIA card running?

Hi,

I am having problems getting the network card running
on my laptop.  I am running RH 6.2 on IBM Thinkpad
600E, and have a Xircom XEM5600 Combo PCMCIA card. 

I am new to Linux and not very familiar with
installing new hardware, but I made some search on the
internet and still cannot figure out what I should do.

This is what I did:
- Checked, the cardmgr is running.
- Ran tail -f /var/log/messages and popped in the
card.  I got no error messages:
: initializing socket 1
: socket 1: Serial or Modem
: executing: 'insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/pcmcia/serial_cs.o'
: tty03 at 0x02e8 (irq - 3) is a 16550A
: executing: './serial start ttys3'

What do I do next?
