[ale] RH 7.3 / afterstep install

	in case you are using gdm, make sure you select 'default' instead 
of 'gnome' or 'failsafe'. At 'default', your $HOME/.Xclients will be read. 
Otherwise, it will not be.  There's no attempt made to read 
$HOME/.xinitrc from gnome-session scripts or alike. maybe .xinitrc is 
simply used by startx.
