[ale] Kernel problem

I understand. Maybe you should run the kernel in debug mode for one
boot to see what output you can get. That may require a recompile for a
debug mode, I don't know much about that. Once you got that output,
someone might be able to help out. Sometimes enabling the Alt-SysRq
control in the kernel can help in your situation since you can still
retain some control after a crash. I may be way out on that...
