I have a cable modem here in Cumming, GA (Don't laugh at the town name)
When I went from usb to Ethernet card I had trouble getting it to work.
Support told me that they need to change my mac address on their side.
I had the same problem when I put in a firewall. Quite irritating really.
I had to call them and give the mac address of my firewall. I rebooted
the cable modem (off for 30 seconds) and they claimed they changed
something on their side and everything worked.
