[ale] RPM displays error msg

John,
Redhat started to use version 4 'rpm' format for RH7.*. For those stuck with
RH6.2, you can update your 'rpm' package to rpm-4.0.2-6x, which you can find
from update.redhat.com or its mirrrors. speakeasy.rpmfind.net is quite a
reliable resource for me over the years. 
Of course, as Keith stated, having the upgraded 'rpm' executable cannot
gurantee you can install RPM packages which is compiled with different
library and stuff. It only gurantees that you can run rpm command against
RPM packages in >4.0 version format.
