Why don't you just write a print filter that elimates the step.  It allows them to print directly to a PDF.  You can even have it mailed back to them.

Does anyone know of a simple way of using ps2pdf from the gui, like
drag'n'drop?


I want our users to be able to print to a PS file, then just drag the file
to an icon that will convert the PS file to a PDF in the same directory that
it currently resides (usually their home directory or their desktop).


Or better yet, is there an open source PDF Print Driver that can be
installed?
