[ale] VCD, MPEG, AVI

I want to convert my avi's to mpeg so I can make a vcd. what are some
recommended encoders, I was planning on using easy cd creator 5 plat to make
the vcd but, I am lost on the mpeg encoder, any sujestions would be greatly
appriciated.
