Issues, yes. Same issues, not really. Serious issues, not that I'm aware
of. That does not mean there aren't any, but I've followed Bugtraq
closely for several years and Samba posts are few and far between.

It has been my experience that Samba is a bit safer than NFS but it just
isn't quite as capable. Another issue one should consider is familiarity.
If you're new to *nix but experienced with Windows, Samba is probably
safer for you to use. And vice-versa.

Being familiar with the terminology can go a long way...

I do have one question along the same lines though. Has anyone played with
Novell NDS on Linux? I'm not much of a Novell guy, but I haven't heard too
many bad things about NDS 8.
