It seems my hard drive is sleeping. I don't have the hdparm set for
this, but every time it 'wakes up' I get this error. My hdparm settings
when I boot are:
hdparm -d1 -u1 -m8 -c3 -A1 /dev/hda
Is there any way i can avoid this from happening?
My suspicion is I compiled something in the kernel... but I don't know
where it is... unless something's just plain wrong. I don't suspect a
bad hard drive. This one's less than a year old.
Can anyone glean information about this 'problem' from the following
stuff?
[root at gw linux-2.4.1]# hdparm /dev/hda
/dev/hda:
multcount = 0 (off)
I/O support = 0 (default 16-bit)
unmaskirq = 0 (off)
using_dma = 0 (off)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
nowerr = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 8 (on)
