[ale] Suggestions?

  I have a debian box.  Connected via USB (it seems to talk happily) is an
HP 882C.  I have gs-aladdin 6.5.0-5 installed but this doesn't seem to come
with the hp882c driver compiled in.  I've tried compiling in the driver
a few times and it's usually just made a real mess in /usr/local/gs....
I'm about to look at installing a windows box just to act as a printserver
for this guy, my wife would really like to be able to print color photos
off it.

  Any other suggestions?  Are network printservers worth it for this type
of printer?
