[ale] Can anyone help out a fellow ale'r???

Don't get me started on Atlantis Partners.  I haven't had very good
experiences with them, and I really don't have a problem saying it.

Number 1 - I walk in for my first "meeting" with them after I got in touch
with someone -- you know, the one where they walk you around and whore you
to all their recruiters.  They made me sit at an iMac in their lobby and
fill out a techies gold survey.

Number 2 - They've made it quite blatant that they give off an appearance of
a "short order" recruiting firm... try it yourself.  Call them up, ask to
speak to someone, and you'll eventually end up speaking to 5 different
recruiters all working on the same thing.

Number 3 - I was asked to show up at their location for an interview with an
unnamed company.  I show up, wait for an hour in their lobby with two other
guys, only to be told by a recruiter that the main recruiter handling the
interview was on the phone, and also that the representative from the
unnamed company wasn't able to make it.  I also discovered that the two guys
I sat in the lobby with were there fro the same interview.  I didn't
perceive that to be a very professional way of handling things, and after
that I stopped talking with Atlantis.

This is just my experience, though, I'm sure they've found great jobs for a
few people.
