Stick to tarballs and install yourself. You'll get a much 
better understanding of what is going on, and can ensure 
you are installing the latest version. I always compile 
from source. I see you are using qmail - excellent. Also 
take a look at tinydns and throw out bind if you 
haven't already. Nothing wrong with RH 7.1, by the way. 
I use it myself, although at this point I've 
[re]installed and re[compiled] so many things I feel it 
is now *my* distribution, as it doesn't really resemble 
the original RedHat distribution so much anymore. :)
