3rd attempt to get this posted because of afore-mentioned problems...
A few days ago my RedHat 6.1 machine locked up and required a hard reset.
Now I cannot start X on it as any user other than root. When the machine came
back it checked out clean so I don't know why its busted. The error message I
get says something about not being authorized and something about "perhaps I
don't own the console". I've tried to figure out where the problem is with no
luck but I must admit that X security stuff leaves me confused. I blew away
all the .X* and .x* files in my user directory to no avail. Any ideas on what
to try next would be appreciated.
thanx & later,
Ben Scherrey
