Ximian (the driving force behind the GNOME desktop) is working on a GPL'd
groupware app called Evolution ( http://www.Ximian.com/apps/evolution.php3 ).
'course, the problem is that most of your client software needs to run on
M$ desktops. The answer: if you can find an Windoze-based apps that can speak
the iCalendar protocol (and I'm guessing that M$ Outlook probably doesn't),
you'll be good to go.

The major push is for us to abandon our current RH Mail serve in favor of a Win2K/Exchange setup. The reasoning is that Exchange offers all these "neat" features on the client end (i.e. calender, scheduler, shared address book etc) that "Linux doesn't".
