[ale] X looks pixelated (xfs *is* running)

RH 7.2 assigns a port number for the X font path instead of giving an
absolute path to the fonts themselves. This caused me problems too. I
went in to the XF86Config file and set the font path to the directories
I wanted to point to. But even after I changed XF86Config the fonts
still looked wrong. It turns out that X now reads from XF86Config-4. I
had to change that file to really fix things. Anyway, if you want to see
what your X font path really is, try:

xset q

and you will see where it is pointing to now.
