I use the Matrox g400/g450 (i have both) in the dashpc(www.dashpc.com) and
they work _great_ under X.  It's one card with 2 VGA outputs.  The g400
output can be used as NTSC or VGA.  There's a guy named Brian at the Matrox
Linux site who(m)'s super-helpful.  During business hours he'll answer your
question within a few (15) minutes or so.  There's good documentation on the
web for the matrox cards too.

Hi all,

I'm about to setup a multiheaded X display with some monitors I recently
picked up but I haven't decided on video cards to use with the setup. I'm
not building a system with the latest and greatest hardware, but will
instead be looking for older cards from ebay, etc. My question is, what
cards in the 8-16mb category have you had success using with X. My hope is
to setup at least 3 or 4 monitors on a single machine so what cards would
you recommend (hopefully in the $20 range new/used)?
