Right.  Let me explain.  I want one static IP for my personal use.  I
must have a static IP for a work vpn.  The work vpn has a device
functions as a router when the vpn is down, but when the vpn is up, it
locks down the network in order protect the work hardware.  Point is,
even though this device has multiple ethernet, if I was running a
webserver on one, the minute I fire up the vpn, that webserver would no
longer be accessible from the internet.  Hence the need for two static
ips and some device that will permit me to have the vpn on one and a
whole separate network that has access to the internet on the other.
