[ale] screwing up the libs....

Hi there,
Well, I was trying to do some stuff with the IO::Tty module for perl and I
managed to screw up my machine. This is what I did. The IO::Tty mod needs
glibc 2.2 so I compiled into /usr/local/glibc_22 right? then I thought
well I will just add it to the /etc/ld.so.conf and run ldconfig... Bad
move. I thought that would just let things look there as well. Now I can't
even ryn ls... It seems that the line in /etc/ld.so.conf takes precedence
over anything else.
I can boot off of a boot disk but that does me now good. Even if I change
the ld.so.conf I cannot chroot to wherever I mounted the / partition and
run ldconfig and I cannot put ldconfig on the boot disk. It's a catch
22...
Any advice?
Thank you
Ken
