Here's what my Red Hat 6.2 box at work shows when you run cat /proc/meminfo
:
total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 64450560 62824448 1626112 23367680 38420480 5894144
Swap: 139788288 5898240 133890048
MemTotal: 62940 kB
MemFree: 1588 kB
MemShared: 22820 kB
Buffers: 37520 kB
Cached: 5756 kB
BigTotal: 0 kB
BigFree: 0 kB
SwapTotal: 136512 kB
SwapFree: 130752 kB
It basically just shows memory usage.
