Assuming same HDD on all those machines, then you'd better off

0)  dump the partition table off the working system to a text file

Then, on every new system:
1) write the partition table to the HDD. repeat 0 and 1 if you have
multiple HDD.
2) mkswap of /dev/sda2
3) do you other untar routine
