[ale] Modem Question

In the case of "goal #2":  take a look at:
http://www.muehldorf.com/mdmpoold/index.html.  It's a free server 
that runs on linux and shares a modem.  You will also need to follow 
the links to get the windows client (which is shareware).  

I've played with it some;  It seems to work o.k.

What is your goal? If it is to:
1. Access the Internet
  Yes. Fairly easy. Check out the How-to's on IP Masquerading and diald.

2. Use the modem as if it was installed in the WinXX box
  Yes. Little tougher but doable. I'll have to lookup the info.
