[ale] WaveLAN2 Wireless Ethernet Problems

I've recently received 2 Lucent WaveLAN Gold wireless ethernet cards, and a
PCI adapter for one of them to set up a wireless network at home. My
problem is that I can't seem to get my laptop running Win2K to talk to my
Linux firewall. I'm sure it's just that I'm being stupid somewhere in my
configuration, but I have no idea where. I've rebuilt my firewall's kernel
using 2.2.16 and pcmcia-3.1.19, as well as the 6.02 version of the wavelan
drivers from lucent.

Both the laptop and the firewall look like their configurations are set up
correctly. The laptop will talk to an AccessPoint we have at work without
problems. The only change I've made once I brought it home, was setting it
to Ad-Hoc mode. The firewall doesn't currently have any IPChains running
other than a single MASQ rule. ifconfig shows eth2 with the right MAC
address, and all of the correct network settings (IP, BCast, and Mask).
When I do a netstat -nr the output for eth2 paralells eth1 (my other
internal interface... just not a wireless interface).

I've set the port_type to be 3, and I've configured station_name and tried
setting channel to 0 and 1 (haven't gone through all 15 yet, however...)

I've upgraded the firmware on both pcmcia cards to the latest (6.06).

Anyone on the list have any luck configuring a wavelan2 card, and have any
suggestions?
