[ale] Stripping EOL Characters with samba

I have a samba server running on RH 6.2 that has the users directories
available as mount points via our NT network. We have a problem with EOL
getting garbled whenever a file is edited on the client WinCrap box. Is
there a method via samba to not mangle the EOL and leave it in unix format
or will this have to be performed via the editor? Ideally, we would simply
have everyone use vi to do editing, however our development environment
requires some WinCrap interaction.

Currently, we are simply having to convert via vi once the editiing is done,
however this is a problem waiting to happen. Any advice would be greatly
appreciated.
