[ale] Newbie Question about Virtual Email Domains

I need help setting up a Virtual email domain using RH 6.1.
I used the Linuxconf to add the Virtual Email Domain and have edited the
virtusertable to reflect the alias scheme.  At the present time I can send
mail internally to the virtual domain. Sending mail to the virtual address
from outside the network, I get the message:
 <<< 550 Unable to relay for user at virtualdomain.com ...user unknown.

Could someone please point me in the right direction?
