How about "compiling a custom kernel"? This could be very apropos now that
the 2.4 kernel is close (and, in fact, very usable even in its "-testX-preY"
state), yet won't be part of the major distros for several more months (at
least until version 2.4.4 hits) Things like HW/compiler/tools requirements,
kernel configuration, typical "gotchas", LILO config, and even kernel hacking
could be discussed. The new 2.4 features could also be worked in.

So ... who wants to do it? :)
