[ale] Q: "Server Assigned Nameserver" Setup

My ISP (Avana) has now gone to dynamic nameserver assignment -
"server-assigned nameserver" in Gates-ese, I gather. Their suggestion for
Linux was that I remove the 'nameserver' lines from '/etc/resolv.conf', but
this did not seem to work. I bring up PPP and try to 'ping' some host, but
get the 'unknown host' message.

I didn't save the ALE thread on this recently - could someone tell me how to
configure this? This is on a RH5.2 setup, though I suppose it's a "generic"
question.
