I have had trouble with HP and Sun mounting filesystems from RedHat 6.0.
The trick is to tell these OS's to mount the filesystems using nfs
version 2.
See example from fstab:
192.168.0.1:/opt/public /opt/public nfs
rsize=1024,wsize=1024,hard,intr,nosuid,vers=2 0
notice the "vers=2"
I have also had trouble if I didn't set rsize and wsize to 1024.
Hope this helps.
