[ale] RHL $MANPATH?

I'm just futzing around here with QT libraries, and I reset my $MANPATH
variable while installing them.  It came to my attention that it doesn't
look like this variable is set by default?  Am I right?  Does RHL fail to
set the $MANPATH variable, or does it get set in some obscure way?
