[ale] How do I track the Machine name by knowing the IP address

How I do it on my Linux machine is this:
In /var/log/messages it lists the MAC address of any ethernet card I'm
using. And since I'm running DHCP, dhcpd will show other eth interface
MAC addresses.
In Win98, use WINIPCFG, and on NT, use IPCONFIG.
