Well now, just who is the open source community? Is it everyone who uses open source software or just those who write
it? How does one become part of the open source community? Would one need to have a business that produces open source
software to qualify?
Seriously though, shouldn't most of the Linux vendors do pretty well in the next century? I am sure that there will be
more opportunities coming down the pike. Maybe a linux oriented mutual fund? Kind'a like those environmentally
friendly funds. ;-)
Personally, I'd like to see if VMWare would allow participation. That is one great package for Linux. I was noticing
at Best Buy this afternoon in Kennesaw that the Linux OS section was larger than the Win98/00 OS section. Made my day!
Of course, the non-OS sections were all Win98 or Mac, but I have VMWare...
