I found 'background' in the Gnome=A0 System -> Control Center menu =
panel, and
it worked fine. I was a bit too quick to try old methods on a new tool, =
and
not checkout the Fine Manual. (I am very happy with the Gnome manual
browser, and use it often, but not for Gnome=A0 ... &8-<). Sorry for =
