[ale] dns provided by server?

Is it possible to set up Linux so that it get's the DNS server values
from the server it's dialing into?  I'm having a hard time getting valid
DNS server IPs from the bone heads at work.  I don't think you can do
this under Linux, but I'd be happy for someone to prove me wrong.
