A clarification to my previous post, which hopefully will hit
this list before this one: I wasn't trying to discourage folks
from building their own kernel; 90% of the time it really is
as simple as configuring, compiling, and LILO-ing. But if
you're upgrading across major revisions it can be way more
complicated, and things occasionally change in surprising
ways even between minor revisions.
