hi guys,

how are ya'll.... i'm in need of help again and you've been good to provide that
, thanks .... i did go and get the rh 6.0 to get the latest  apps support etc...
and i purchased a new video card to replace my failing s3-based vlb card  and

this is the problem--- i can't get the XF86Mach32 server to work w/ the card (
the svga server works fine )....i've looked everywhere i know for FAQs and docs
( to no avail ) and just now posted to the XFree86 site ( i don't expect to get
a response as i am not running their version 3.3.4 for this 5+ year old card )
SuperProbe detects correctly the card's ramdac, clocks,  memory, etc..

i did find info that on vlb systems the server doesn't set the memory aperture
to a useable address as i get the seg fault....but i can't find other valid
settings to try and haven't been able to find a linux command to check the
current memory  settings  any ideas would be greatly appreciated
