Hey Guys
We have been talking to Bellsouth about support for Linux.
ADSL will be installed with the media converter box that
gives you a static IP address and a standard 10baseT port, along
with a phone number and POTS line. This service is packaged
with a dedicated Internet connection through a participating
ISP.
Details are very tight-lipped which seems to be more political
than technical. Linux General Store is in process of negotiating
as a data sales agent and becoming a support center for linux ADSL
connections.
I have met Lee Friedman, Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, at
SuperComm and he is a linux advocate. He can be reached at
404-332-2233.
You can direct technical questions to Felton Jenkins, Data
Communications
Specialist, at 404-982-1195.
Your political views can be expressed to Kenny Poland, Data Sales
Agent, at 404-638-1031.
Please make the calls and let our voices be heard!
For the latest developments, please call me at 404-892-7088.
