As for a good 56K modem... I've had no problems with my Motorola
56K ModemSurfr... I've upgraded the firmware to the latest release form
Motorolas web site and it runs great... My computer is online almost
24/7... runnin pppd out of inittab works great for auto-redial...

Alpha machines in the office... but prefer Slackware and run 3.4 on my
machine at home... although nothin on my machine is stock...
