Well, if that's the case, what you need is a small gnumalloc, which you
can get follow the Linux-Java HOWTO at http://www.blackdown.org while
there is no need for the whole libc.so.5.12. 

As for the default background warning messages, are you talking about:

SIOCDELRT: Operation not permitted
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmStringCreateLtoR'
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmCreateForm'
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmCreatePushButton'
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmStringFree'
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmStringCreateLtoR'
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmCreateMessageDialog'
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmMessageBoxGetChild'
netscape: can't resolve symbol 'XmStringFree'
ERROR: Unable to resolve symbol
Cant load plugin /usr/local/lib/netscape/plugins/libnullplugin.so.
Ignored. 

I keep getting these stuff, with netscape 3.01, (gold), v4.0b3, v4.0b5.
Does anybody have a solution for this? I am using ld.so.1.8.9, libc5.4.31.

Just got the new v4.0b5, it hangs whenever I try to open the news server
at my ISP, there's no problem with some other public newservers such as
the one at StarOffice and the 3dfx. Any idea? It says it's looking up the
news site, and I have to kill it.
